Cafe Sobar Safe Space

Skills Plus is a learning and skills curriculum with a focus on developing and enhancing key life-skills. The service is designed to give you access to a range of fun and interactive workshops within your local community, building skills in a range of topics including:

• Effectively managing money
• Shopping on a budget
• Communication skills
• Confidence building
• Health and well-being
• Healthy relationships
• Digital Skills

Each session runs for approximately two hours and is designed to help you achieve your goals and improve these skills.
We are not the typical learning environment – we inject fun, vibrancy and character into the sessions. A session could consist of a mixture of group discussions, picture-based activities, quizzes, media clips followed by a question and answer session.
No two sessions are the same and we will provide support and follow on activities to help you put your learning into practice.
